Benefit Concert Hosted by Bones of Intention and Friends

An "Italian" concert to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society will be hosted by Bones of Intention and Friends on Sunday, November 9th, 3:00pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Assembly Street in Columbia.  Our fund raising goal is $5,000 that will be used to purchase a new freezer for storage of food donations that helps provide for homeless people in our community.

Special guests on the concert will be Marina Alexandra (www.marinaalexandra.com) and others to be announced.

Who We Are -- Our Intention

The Bones of Intention Trombone Ensemble is composed of amateur and professional trombonists from Columbia, SC and surrounding areas.  We all enjoy making music and sharing it with others.  We're dedicated to making the most of all our years of training and practice (and making our teachers proud).

The group performs publicly 2 to 4 times per year in a concert/recital setting for the enjoyment of our audiences and to help raise money for worthy causes -- mostly in support of charity groups that help children.  Additionally, we (or subsets of us) have been known to participate in the regular Sunday or holiday services for various churches in the area.

We play a wide range of music from classical to traditionals and jazz arranged from quartets to 12-part choirs.  Sometimes we have incorporated other instruments (such as organ) and other special guests.  We ensure that a good time is had by all!

We do not charge any fees for our appearances or performances through we do hope that donations will be made to the various causes that we support.

If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact me.
